Sydney was trained at Anderson Young Ballet Theatre under the direction of Lou Ann Young. While there, she performed in a multitude of classical ballets including The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Sydney then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology through the Indiana University Contemporary Dance Program and graduated in the spring of 2017.
She has studied under guest artists including Twyla Tharp, Gallim Dance, Kathleen Hermsdorf, Connie Denopoli, and Jennifer Scanlon from the Jose Limon Company. She also participated in Dance Italia’s 2016 summer intensive in Tuscany, Italy under Stephanie Nelson.
In 2014, Sydney studied under David Leventhal at Mark Morris Dance Group in order to teach Dance for Parkinson’s Disease. Sydney now lives in the Orlando, Florida area where she is very excited about teaching dance at the Orlando Fine Arts Academy.
