RICK LUCCHESI
Rick’s musical journey started with trumpet in elementary and junior high school, moving to guitar in high school, and then hitting the road with bands soon after. His musical travels brought him to clubs, hotels, and stages across the country including everything from the ‘Strip’ in Las Vegas to the Grand Ol’ Opry in Nashville. Along the way, Rick also had the great experiences of opening for groups such as Diamond Rio, Lonestar, Wade Hayes, Kenny Rogers, and many others. Rick performs rock, country, smooth jazz, classical, experimental, etc., on guitar, bass, mandolin, keyboards, dulcimer, harmonica, tenor banjo, Irish whistle, and baroque recorder. Rick’s education includes Composition/Theory and Guitar Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and also private instruction. Rick is a member of The Registry of Guitar Tutors at London College of Music and continues to write music for all of the instruments and musical genres he performs and enjoys. Rick maintains an active live performance schedule playing guitars and keyboards in many bands in the Central Florida area.
For teaching, Rick brings his experiences to the student and crafts each plan depending on the student’s needs. Each course of study can include notation reading, composition and theory, performance, and learning songs and repertoire that is unique to the student’s age and goals. All the options are reviewed with the student at the first lesson and then at times are periodically checked to see if the goals are being met or any changes and additions should be made.
